FFI members attend Top Producer 2021

In spite of severe winter storms and COVID-related limitations, the 2021 Top Producers conference took place in Nashville at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, February 15-17. Due to limited attendance, there were no breakout sessions, but educational presentations still took place throughout the day. Topics included How to Analyze Opportunities and Make Smart Decisions, High-Impact Meteorology and How Much Can Farming Address Climate Change.

The two FFI team members in attendance were Baker Bugbee and Bob Bell, both of whom presented at the previous year’s conference in Chicago.

“I was really grateful I was able to go,” said Bell. Both Bell and Bugbee attended all of the presentations and while they both gleaned information from the formal setting, it was the networking that Bell in particular found invaluable.

“The power of socializing and networking with people individually is very impactful,” said Bell. “We share what works best for us and others do the same. We all discover valuable tidbits to bring back to our respective organizations.”

Meeting people is just the first step as Bell makes a concerted effort to cultivate the relationships he creates at these shows.

“Any time I can be around people smarter than I is a great opportunity,” Bell laughs.
